Hundreds gathered in protest on the steps of the building that houses The Capital Factory in Austin, Texas, an organization with long ties to tech and weapons startups that work with the Department of War and Israel. Speaking against the company’s involvement with Israel and the U.S. Military, the protesters took to the streets, visiting multiple businesses with alleged histories with Israel and the U.S. involvement in Gaza.
A week later, on October 13, 2025, a little over two years after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel and two years of Genocide committed by Israel in Gaza, a ceasefire has been made in a two phase peace plan.

I’ve been documenting many of these protesters over the years, most peaceful, some violent, but all endlessly filled with compassion and a fight for peace in a region that has been constantly ravaged by hatred, violence and death by those who wield power. I’ve learned a lot during my time documenting these protests. I’ve seen a lot of humanity in people that were it not for me seeking out their perspectives and their stories, I would not understand them or hear them the way I do now. As a person from a small rural white community in Montana who now lives in a small rural community in Texas, I’m grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to help share these stories and learn from the heartache and compassion that I’ve consistently witnessed from Palestinians, Jews and everybody I’ve encountered while doing this.
